Amber Craig has grown up experimenting with technology. She has worked across many high profile corporate technology organisations in Aotearoa for over a decade designing solutions and strategies. She is a cofounder in the charity Whare Hauora and director of Tahetoka who are challenging status quos from our Government and NZ organisations. Both are developing concepts in how to  deliver true Māori Data Sovereignty. Her recent calling is back to her turangawaewae in Wairarapa and embracing te ao Māori. She has worked on being active and vocal on how we break down colonial structures to create spaces for our whānau to be empowered and to ensure this world is left better for the generations to come.

Talk title: Returning to our Wai

Join Amber (Ngāti Kahungunu, Rangitāne & Muaūpoko) as she shares her haerenga (journey) back home, her experience with Whare Hauora and Tahetoka building organisations challenging status quos and breaking down systemically racist structures. The importance of knowing our own identities and how all of our work is really just telling stories and will question what is your why and whose story are you telling?
